Hey dude, i have figured out how to fix it, hold the lock button and the home button for 5 seconds. It should show the apple logo and start up again 🙂
Thanks ! Had same problem thought it was broken, now it's just fine. Thanks again ! 🙂
same problem here!! i've tried it so many times~ but still, but nothing happens...
any suggest??
Same thing just happened to me with my I-pod touch 4gen,
Just press the home button and the turn on button at same time.
I never had this ever done to my i-pod and i have no idea why the ipod does that...
I have the solution from an apple representative:
First try to start iTunes and plug in the iPod Touch.
If you see the charging icon, you are fine; wait for it to charge, it will turn on by itself.
If it is still dead:
Fully charge it.
Open iTunes and connect the iPod
Press and hold power and home button for ten seconds -
Then keep pressing just the home button while connected to iTunes
This gives the message: “iTunes has detected a device in recovery mode”.
Do you want to restore? Then follow instructions to do a clean restore.
All is fixed with this hard reset.🙂
Tempus Fugit.
This worked great!!! thank You!!!
The fixes are:
Hold the home and power button (A force shut down) and you should see the apple logo...
Hold the home and power button until you see a blink or some sort of white out, then leave the power button and keep holding iTunes!
Plug it in a power source if it turns on GOOD!
Sorry for all the users of the wonderful iTouch stuck out there..
Help.. i drained the battery of my ipod touch 3rd gen, it wont charge and wont turn on.. holding the home and power button did not work, and also my computer does not recognize the ipod whenever i plug it in through USB. whenever i plug it in it shows me a picture of a drained battery and then the apple logo appears and thats it. please help me. thank you. 😟
never mind i fixed it lol.
i held the power button and the home button for 30 secs then i let go of the power button and held on to the home button while plugging it in the USB cable. then i restored it.. thanks guys, lol 😉
omgthankyou! i was totally freaking out!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay, so here's what you do: press and hold the sleep/wake button and home button at the same time. Continue to hold for 10 seconds or until the Apple logo appears. Your iPod should turn on. If not plug it into a power source and try again. If that does not work, then I don't know. :)
i got a 5th gen ipod touch and u just turned of a wouldnt turn back on i plugged into itunes it still didnt work what should i do ??????????
ok,
heres a method that should work for 70% of your problems, problems differ ok
1. plug your idevice into a power source preferably computer
2. you may have heard of this before, hold the home and power button at the same time for 10 seconds
then continue holding the home button but release the power button and hold for as long as it takes for your
idevice to reboot
Hope it Helps 😀
