iPod Touch won't turn on !!

I have an 8 GB iPod Touch and it does not turn on, it was working and it just went off and won't turn on. I tried to connect it to iTunes but it is still the same.

Does anyone know what's wrong and how do you fix it ?

I woke up this morning and my iPod 2nd gen (with full battery) wouldn't turn on . There's no indication that's charging or anything, but my computer does recognise it. iTunes is telling me that it's in recovery mode, but when I press restore it says "software for this iPhone is not currently available. Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes and try again.". I have the latest version of iTunes and it's not an iPhone even though it recognises it as one. I tried holding the power and home buttons for 10 seconds, 30, 60, I tried holding them both for 10 and the home for 10, but none of that is doing anything.

Please help.

Wait something similar happened to me, I was on my ipod touch 4g when it just froze and a few minutes later, it just shut down. I know there was at least a half full battery. However when I was trying to connect it back to itunes, it just said "ipod is in recovery mode", and the only option was to restore it, so i clicked that. however, after it finished restoring, it didnt work, saying "the iPod could not be restored. An unknown error occured (1600)".

I also tried using the home button + power button method multiple times, even holding it to up to a minute, but to no avail, the screen is still black.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP 😟
