iPod Touch won't turn on !!

I have an 8 GB iPod Touch and it does not turn on, it was working and it just went off and won't turn on. I tried to connect it to iTunes but it is still the same.

Does anyone know what's wrong and how do you fix it ?

Yes I had this problem with my iPod touch 4th generation what you need to do...

1st- connect your iPod to your computer and i Tunes should recognized it if it does read this

2nd- hold down the power button and home button on your iPod touch for ten seconds then let go of the home button and hold down only the home button

3rd- a window should appear that says 'iTunes has dectected a device in recovery mode would you like to restore it?' click yes

4th- the restoration may take a few minutes then your iPod should turn on like normal. HOWEVER PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS WILL DELETE EVERYTHING ON YOUR IPOD!

Help! I just got a iPod from my uncle and when I plug it into a wall plug,it says it's at half battery, charging!!!But when I unplug it,it goes top black screen and won't turn on,and when I plug it into the computer to download some music, the screen goes to the startup screen (Apple 4 iOS i think, ipod 2nd gen or 3rd gen),then keeps flashing to black and the startup screen again!!!HELP!!!

When nothing was working for mine, I managed to get it working via putting the USB into an Apple Brick to charge from the wall.

I left it on the USB cord for an hour, pressed home and power till my digits hurt, and got nothing.

As soon as I used a real Apple Wall Charger, I seen the battery symbol and was able to charge it enough to get it back to my computer. And yes, I was intelligent enough to try multiple USB ports because I know on some laptops the ports no longer have power when it goes to sleep. I used a USB 3 port for hopes of getting it the power it needs, but in the end it was the Apple Power Brick in the wall that did the trick.

Just in case anyone else is feeling the frustrations.
