iPod Touch won't turn on !!

Thanks so much .. Why in the world has apple become so defective. This is supposed to be the new IPod. Meaning new and improved. I'm starting to wonder the Iphone 4 defections and now this. What has apple come too.

I have the same problem, I tried all the solutions and it still won't turn on. I've only had it since christmas and i don't know what to do.

Hey,i have the new 8Gb Ipod Touch 4G. i just got it like 3 weeks ago,and today i turned it off,and now its stuck in the recovery mode symbol. yes,i have the tried the home button+lock button trick.it didnt work. i dont know whats going on! and it wont let me restore it. Halp! :O

My son just purchased the 8GB with his own money 3 days ago. Last night the battery was getting low, so my husband turned it off. We recharged thru an iHome and this morning it won't turn back on. I tried pushing the power and home buttons at the same time, and it seemed to work. An apple symbol with a line thru it for a few minutes, then okay. I already had it plugged into the computer with the USB, so it went into a sync too. Even though all seems ok for now, I'm planning to exchange it. We shouldn't be having to do this on a brand new device.

I had the same problem with a full battery. It would not turn on plugged into my car or on my computer. So I got on here to see what people would say. It helps to hold both the power and the home buttons down for 30 seconds.

mine did the same(ipod 4th gen 32gb)! i was using the kindle app.. i was reading a book and it was working perfectly, then i stopped and i got something to eat.. 2 minutes later i came back and suddenly it wouldnt turn on... the screen went black and even when i plugged it into the computer nothing happened and itunes wouldnt recognize it. someone here said to hold the power button and the... other button at the same time and it worked 🙂 lol sorry, dont know the name of the button.

I have a problem that really is a twist on the "won't turn on theme". My son misplaced his touch about 6 months ago. Now it is out of power, won't charge and won't turn on. Has anyone else seen this?
