How do I set the desktop wallpaper with an image in aperture 3?

Sorry for the silly question, but I can't find how to set my desktop wallpaper with an image in aperture 3. It was simple when using Iphoto, but I can't find the method in aperture.

Thanks,

Dale.

I've been using Desky without an issue in Lion to set any image as desktop wallpaper.

Drag any image, whether from Aperture, iPhoto, a Finder window, etc., to the Desky icon. The Desky icon can be placed on the Dock and/or Finder's sidebar or menu bar.

I wish also Aperture had at least a shortcut or icon for we can setting the desktop directly from the application. But Desky does its only task very well.

Regards.

Seriously?

Welcome to the Lion's den, Kirby.

I was funning 😉, but seriously, it depends on how you use your system. If it were only Aperture, there would be no reason at all to wait, as an AP 3.2.1 user I think you would be even better of with Lion than with SL.

I find myself spending much time in the Lion forum because of iCloud synchronization problems, because Lion is frequently dropping WLAN connections, and because I'm looking for solutions on how to configure the desktop tools like Mail, iCal, AddressBook, and Safari to make them usable again. I have no stability problems with Lion (crashes or the beachball of death), it is more a usability problem. Many options are hidden, and many of the new features that are turned on by default, are useless and annoying for me - like the automatic resume of windows. For example, when I quit Safari, usually there are 20 or more tabs open, and when I reopen Safari in the morning, Safari will insist on opening all 20 tabs again, to present to me the screen as I left it the day before, even if many of the pages cannot be reopened, because the connection has expired, and I wait and wait for windows that I do not want ... I just don't seem to be the average, prototypical user the system has been designed for. MacOS does no longer seem to be an OS for software engineers, at least, that is how I feel at the moment.

When I recommended to wait for the next release, I was hoping that some of the complaints concerning usability will have been addressed by the next upgrade. It took me so long to answer, because Lion had dropped the WLAN connection once again ...

Cheers

Léonie
