If you have feedback for Apple, you can post it here: Apple - Feedback
Here is the support article that explains it: Hide and unhide purchases in iTunes or iBooks on your Mac or PC - Apple Support
Cheers,
GB
Go on iTunes
Select Purchased on the left hand menu
Select Download Previous Purchases
You'll see a list of Music, Apps and Books,
Press little X to 'hide' unwanted purchases...
I seriously wish apple would sort this out - no delete is rubbish, I have a list as long as ypour arm of apps that i will never use again, come on apple please add a delete function.
I don't think that there will ever be a delete option to unused apps. That's the way apple found to make you buy "more space". Sorry that's why apple is what it is today. iCloud is a great idea, a neat concept but both my backups alone occupiy most of my iCloud free space thus forcing me to get more space to safeguard my "e-mobile-life". Dance the iMusic folks!
You know you can just swipe to delete them, right? In the purchases section of the App Store app you can just swipe your finger from right to left across the name of the app that you don't want to see. A red "hide" button then appears and when you click it the app will no longer appear in the list. I use it to get rid of any past junk Or free app that I never plan on downloading to my phone again. Hope this helps.
There is a way to delete them, kind of hidden behind a lot of screens ->
Settings > iCloud > storage &backup > manage storage > "YOUR_DEVICE_NAME_HERE" > show all apps
From there you can see the ones with the largest file sizes. You can unselect as appropriate
Got the details from: http://www.ipadforums.net/icloud/49990-icloud-delete-apps-2.html
How can they create iCloud and not have the option for you to delete your own content item by item? (slaps forehead)
I hope they are working on correcting this. I don't necessarily want every picture I snap or download in my iCloud.
Apple please hear all the complaints and acquiesce to allowing to delete from the iCloud and not just hide apps.
It would be nice if at the very least Apple could configure iCloud so that I don't keep getting update alerts for apps that I've deleted from all of my devices. There should be a permanant delete option, so that if you know that you never want an app again you can remove it from backup.
DELETE, it is my right!
Yup it is possible now. Check out this link: http://zytecworld.com/2011/11/21/hide-apps-from-the-app-store/
Cheers!
This is a case when an ounce of prevention is worth a ton of cure. I disabled autobackups when a set up my iPad - not quite soon- enough so have a few annoying apps - but now only backup what I want, or at least I think that's what's happening. I know this isn't any help with the apps crawling around already, but may stop future infestation.
Hey there , if you wanna hide an app that u don´t wanna see in icloud it´s easy.
open the appstore, go to updates, tap on buyed apps and search the app you wanna hide.
found it ? now slide from right to left on that app and it will show up an option that says Hide.
Hope that helps you.
Library -> Apps, find App, hit delete. You'll get the "are you sure" alert. Click "Delete App" Then you'll get the "move to trash or keep in Mobile apps folder". Hit "Move to Trash".
on iphone click appstore, then click update, then purchased, then click not on this phone, from there you can hide you previouse history by swiping across hope this helps but does not delete...
