i dont understand the apple hatred of flash. or fear of flash.

should ios support flash, then it would be great. my ipad2 would be more wonderful!

p.s. dont tell me to sell my ipad as a reply. thanks.

There is no benefit in understanding what happened. The only important thing is to understand what DID happen. There is no Flash on the iPad. Period. Now, I'm not going to tell you to sell your iPad but I do wonder why in the world you would want to keep a product that does not satisfy your needs.

Here's the obvious question...

Why didn't the ipad come with flash as an *option*?

That way if people were concerned with security or crashing then it would be up to the user to take that chance.

Also anyone know of any stats/specs on the vulnrability or sporadicity the ipad OS had when trialing flash? Did they even do this?

The "why" does not matter. It matters only that Flash is not supported on the iPad. If that was a critical requirement for me, I would have sold my iPad long ago.

No, I don't have any stats. Maybe there are none. It doesn't matter. THE iPAD DOES NOT SUPPORT FLASH.

im just one of the millions who wished that ahem again that ios supports flash. and hopefully would save my ipad from eternal damantion since it is not also a cheap toy.

secondly, it looks cool.

this topic drives me absolutely batty...it seems to me that there are a lot of people who are just "lemmings" and just follow the crowd without knowing why.... there are dozens & dozens of posts in this community and probably hundreds on the Internet that discuss the topic of flash on ios devices... ios has been around for what 5 years now, and the ipad for 2 years, and in that time has never supported flash... to me $500+ is a lot of money, and i for one will do my homework before i shell out that kind of money.... to me flash isn't that big of a deal, if i absolutely need it i have a main computer for that... it honestly makes me laugh to read posts like this, and to see so many that "plunk" down some serious money just so they can have the bragging rights of "i have an ipad".... honestly, if people don't do their homework then they only have themselves to blame for the outcome. and in the words of so many others, if you need "flash" don't buy and ipad. if you did, then sell it and get one that does support flash.
