Well said "dmule". I am one of those people who like the new gadgets but do not care about status quo's. I want a product that best suits my needs and will do my research on the current products out on the market and if there isn't a product out there that can do it, I wait. I have been looking for a so called "tablet pc" for about 2 months now that will do all of my office needs (paperwork, inspection reports, and capture signatures) the top 2 on the list are the iPad 2 and the toshiba. Flash is not a big deal to me unless I'm doing mindless web surfing to pass some time. I work for a billion dollar a year company and 80% of them use mobile laptops until the beginning of next year, to which they are all going to the iPad 2. The iPad is very user friendly right out of the box, it's stable and doesn't crash like a pc does........SO if that means apple has to keep flash out of their iOS to keep it stable (or adobe can't deliver a reliable version of flash) I'm all FOR it. I would rather have something dependable than something that I have to fix once a week because of problems. The iPad seems to be the only one out there that can deliver that right now.

To those of you who bought an iPad without doing your homework on what you were buying, that's your fault. As the others have said in this post topic, sell it and buy something else!

In addition, Adobe has now announced that they are discontinuing development of Flash for mobile devices entirely:

"We will no longer continue to develop Flash Player in the browser to work with new mobile device configurations (chipset, browser, OS version, etc.) following the upcoming release of Flash Player 11.1 for Android and BlackBerry PlayBook. "

So Flash for the web, even by Adobe's own admission, is going away. Makes Apple's stand on Flash seem prophetic rather than mistaken.

I have gotten so sick and tired of not being able to see a lot of the flash videos in YouTube (desktop version) on my iPad 2 that I created a way around it on my website. Now all I have to do is paste the URL of any YouTube video that doesn't work into my search bar and it plays straight away with no lag or loss of quality.

This chat is way to funny. I will never understand the millions of people that claim the iPad 2 to be a weak unit because of flash. iPad 2 kills the market in every angle but that one function. Hence why it sky rocketed in sales this year w/o flash and people knowing that. That's like a person buying a car with a turbo motor and complaining about it not having instant boost because it has to build/spool. These are the people that complain about everything, no matter what.
