Is it me, or are there major issues with iTunes update 10.4.0.80?

Is it me, or are there major issues with iTunes update 10.4.0.80? I cannot get it to connect to the iTunes store, nor will it back-up my iPhone. I also cannot paste album art. I see a lot of posts referring to the same issues, but no official replies from Apple. It's as if they are acting as if there is nothing wrong.

To D528. Thanks. On my Windows XP system, I followed the uninstall all Apple and reinstall steps (except step 8) in your OKAY HERE IS THE FIX note above. Apparently I missed deleting Safari on the first pass, so had an extra cycle to get that out and to then one to get MobileMe. Windows XP doesn't have the Publisher sort in the add/delete list,

iTunes is now working. Have access to the store. No CPU hogging. Have not reinstalled Safari.

Though just got an IE Sync Client encountered a problem pop-up.

iPad and iPod nano seemed to sync with no problem.

I didn't have to go the preferences to do those settings suggested - it came to me.

To D528. Thanks from me, too. Have just tried your instructions "lite" (that is, without de-installing/re-unstalling). The overall situation seemed better (that is, no computer freezing). I tried to load iTunes older version, because I was afraid to download the ill-fated 10.4. It loaded successfully but, again, I was not able to connect to its services and, consequently, to authorize my iPad.

After attempting to connect to the iTunes store the iTunes window (but not the computer) freezes, as well as the Internet Explorer. But Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox work just fine. I have not tried Safari being afraid to deal with Apple products.

After shutting down the computer, the DDE Server Window error appeared again.

Now I am going to follow your instructions "full-version".😉 Will report.
