Is it me, or are there major issues with iTunes update 10.4.0.80?

Is it me, or are there major issues with iTunes update 10.4.0.80? I cannot get it to connect to the iTunes store, nor will it back-up my iPhone. I also cannot paste album art. I see a lot of posts referring to the same issues, but no official replies from Apple. It's as if they are acting as if there is nothing wrong.

I finally got it fixed by completely removing all traces of Apple software from my computer, incl the step of deleting the leftover folders and removing mobile Me, then running CCCleaner to delete any remaining traces of files and the reg process twice to remove Apple products completely from registry. Reboot and reinstall and it worked. I think before there must have been a folder or file remaining that caused conflict.

Why it happened I do not yet know and Apple has not yet replied to my support request, however their fix does work ---JUST BE METICULOUS ABOUT DELETING REMAINING GTRACES OF PROGRAMS AFTER RUNNING UNINSTALL.!!

THANK YOU, D528!

Installed 10.4.0.80 (will I never learn?) after being prompted today. It's on Windows 7 64 bit. Thankfully I can connect to the iTunes store, but CD burning is weird. When you start burning a disk, a dialog that says "organizing files" pops up and hangs there for a while flashing the titles of tunes that may or may not be in your playlist. The CD burner then goes to sleep and you have to use the task manager to quit iTunes.

It's not the videos, see my own post here. But it must be related to Windows 7 (32 bit). And it persists after downgrading to iTunes 10.3.

I started with iTunes 10.3 and got some funny effects too, but didn't think about it, as I was freshly installing a new system, and moving my stuff from the old one then - so I upgraded to iTunes 10.4.0.80 right away. The problem was for sure already there with the first version of iTunes I had on it, that was 10.3.

Thanks D528. You saved me £25 on a support call.

Your process worked on my WinXP SP3 that had applemobiledeviceservice.exe taking 99% cpu after upgrading to iTunes 10.4.

I missed uninstalling Mobileme (no list by publisher available) and had an error on first reboot that Apple sync notifier was missing a dll but ignored it and everything is now ok.

Is it me, or are there major issues with iTunes update 10.4.0.80?
