CUI CUI CUI error 10.7.3 all apps crashes

I've finished restoring from a TM backup from this morning.

I've since updated and installed with the combo update and so far so good.

Everything looks to be ok again.

I restored using Time Machine and manually updated to 10.7.3 using the Combo Fix. All OK now.

Is that ok if I just download and install combo update rather than through software update? MacBook Air 2011.

For those that have upgraded successfully, is the upgrade worth it?

Any noticable differences?

I got the Late 2008 White MacBook and no problems at all.

I encountered none of those problems and I'm using Lion since release.

So you had the CUI CUI CUI error as well? It doesn't seem to be on many updates though. did you do the software update one or that combo one.

good luck. I am still holding off as 10.7.2 is still really good on my Macbook Pro, so I'll wait a few days to see if there are any real problems.

Congratulations.

After reinstalling 10.7.2 via recovery partition and running the combo updater my finder still crashes ;-( Going back in time now.

the downloaded DMG combo update didn't solve anything.

I went back to 10.7.2 via time machine.

did you do it after having the issue or before?

After having the issue.

syberyan's procedure worked for me. It took 16 mins to install.
