iPhone 5 wifi issues

I feel your pain, the closet Apple to me is almost a hour as well. I'm gonna wait a few more days, and hopefully Apple has something to say, or maybe a update will be out.

Maybe there will be a recall like they did with the iPod Nano. That would suck...but at least I still have my old iPhone 4 as a backup.

matrixxzero... i think you will have problem using your iphone4 with your nano sim you just got 🙂

FWIW, as I figured, a complete factory reset via itunes did absolutely nothing to fix the slow wifi.

Syed117, if you lost connectivity on both your devices for five minutes, it most likely was ...RF interference!

I tried just resetting. Just "renewing lease". Reset my router. Hard reboot my phone. And other stupid things. I think it's the weirdest thing ever. But it's still working for me.

I having the same wifi issue on 2 iPhone 5's. When the wifi drops out it starts using cell data. Apple are you going to cover my data overage bill?

I hope it's a software problem as well, but the connection speeds on my iPad also running iOS6 are much faster on the same wifi network.

I had the same problem. I deleted my email account, did a network reset and wifi was much better. I have to now see if it works at other hotspots.

Having the same problem WIFI problem. Facetime does not work. Wifi syncing with itunes is a total mess.

Hoping a software update is coming soon.

Same WiFi problem here. Won't connect to home or work WiFi unless I'm very very close. iPad and old iPhone 4 are fine.

I contacted Apple UK yesterday, as per my last post and today they kindly closed the case without even finding a solution.

£699 phone and no wireless working, thanks Apple!

Went to the Apple Store last night to get my replacement 16GB Black and.....WiFi works!

Did you have to make an appointment at the genius bar to get your replacement?

I just made my appointment today as telephone support we're not helpful, earliest I can get an appointment is on Monday.
