iPhone 5 wifi issues
My iPhone 5 connects to wifi networks and remembers them, but receives absolutely zero data through the network. LTE and 3G no problem... Off to the repair shop (after 3 hours of ownership...) or any ideas??

This worked for me. I typed "test" in my client ID and renewed my lease. Blazing fast WIFI!!!!
Just curious -- but it can't be a software issue if a 4S that was upgraded to iOS 6 doesn't exhibit the same problems as the iphone 5, correct?
It has to be some kind of antenae issue, presumably.
I made an appointment for Friday, but after speaking to apple on the phone, they told me to take it straight in and get a replacement. Went in and they swapped it with no problems
The folks who are getting replacements are getting white box replacements (mostly) not full retail boxes.
For those who haven't tried the "test" fix, I just did this again from a second WPA2 network and it worked.
this works for me as well. I typed "test" in my client ID and renewed my lease. Thanks!
As in the amount of time to nuke something in the microwave. Classic!
LOL SAY IT AGAIN!!! I WAS JUST THINKING THAT. I THINK APPLE RUNNING TO A PANIC. MAYBE THEY HAD A CETAIN STASH FOR CRAPPY PHONES BUT STILL I AGREE
Swapped my phone for a new one, no more WPA issue.
Took my phone to the apple store yesterday, they replaced it without question. New one works perfectly.
When you take your phone to the store and they replace it do they erase your old one? how does that work? I would be weary to give up my old phone with all my stuff on it.
yeah alot of the first batch of phones were reported bad, mine was she second big shipment and no one has reported those as bad yet.
Well it looks like there are several wifi issues going on. Which is why I started with stating which one I was having. Lucky you that your phone wants to use the recommended setting though!
Island man...wow...I went to 74.125.227.144 and searches are ridiculously fast. I think you are on to something.
Had same problem got my phone swapped out today and everything is working great now!!! Definitely was a hardware problem in my case!
