iOS Certificate Pending Generation

So I'm completely new to the iOS Developer Program and am trying to get a certificate so I can test my app on my iPhone. I followed the steps I found in the App Distribution Guide and requested for a new certificate in XCode. When I did this, it didn't complete the whole process, instead, in the Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles page in Member Center, it says that my certificate is pending generation. What does this mean? I'm sorry, but I'm completely new to this and have no idea what is going on.

So it did eventually generate? And thanks everyone, for letting me breathe easier into knowing that I'm not the only one with this problema and didn't mess up and throw $99 down the toilet somehow

Apple doesn't offer any SLA regarding iTunes Connect (or any of the developer online services).

Just because there's a problem with generating certificates every now and then hardly makes for throwing away $99.

I know it doesn't, but like I said I'm completely new to this stuff, I was worried that I might have messed something up, that's what I meant, I didn't mean that Apple threw away my money, I meant I was scared I may have done so, but I feel better knowing that it is an issue with generating certificates
