My music won't sync to my iPhone 4S after updating to 11.1

Here's what workd for me:

I had restored my iphone 4s but all my music on my phone was 'in the cloud' and had to be downloaded again!!! When I synced my phone to my itunes, al the music & playlists 'appeared' to be there, but they all had the cloud icon. The would play from the cloud, but they weren't actually on my phone.

The solution that worked for me was:

1) Connect your phone to your computer & launch itunes

2) Click on your iphone tab and then select the music tab

3) Uncheck the 'Sync Music' box

4) Apply changes and re-sync your phone. This erases all music & playlists from your phone, don't panic, we're going to recover it!

5) Once the sync is complete, re-check the 'Sync Music' box & 'entire music library' button

6) Apply changes and re-sync your phone.

This time, the sync takes ages, depending on how many songs are in your music library. you can see the progress in your itunes.

Hope this helps... it was driving me up the wall!

After 5 hours of fruitless efforts I found the issue! AUTOLOCK!!! When it comes on the phone kills the sync and no or few songs get copied. Need to be OFF on iphone. Settings - General - Passcode - Turn Off. What a bug!!!

I also had the problem where iTunes said it was waiting to apply changes but then just timed out. I change USB ports to one of the main powered ports directly connected to my motherboard and it started syncing the tracks.

I agree. On my iTunes, when you click on the iPhone tab once you connected it to the computer, under "music" the option to sync music was unchecked. I couldn't understand what's going on. I had only one album in my music on the iPhone out of 6000 songs I have on the computer. Once you put check mark there, click sync and it will sync all your music with your device.

Things worked fine up until yesterday when iOS7 updated.

Cannot get the sync to finalize!

I'm having the exact same problem. I let it sit for 5 hours and it still won't work. If I find any new information I'll post it.

I have the exact problem too . Been done alot of ways to solve it . But none is working . Please do help .

I have the very same problem here. Nothing worked. I was trying with another apple ID as well, but i've change to the original one, and still unsuccessful.

The above suggestion of turning off Sync music, syncing the phone, turning sync music back on and syncing again worked for me.
