iTunes keeps crashing on iPad Air

My new ipad Air had this iTunes app crashing problem. I returned it for a replacement iPad air. The same problem exists. iTunes app crashes when I try to preview movies while holding the iPad in landscape (horizontal) position but if I closed the app and hold the iPad in the portrait (vertical) position and tap iTunes, then I can preview movies in iTunes without any crashes. I reported this to a senior advisor at Apple on Friday Nov 29th. They have assign senior engineer to investigate it. They said to wait 3 business days.

I encourage everyone to call Apple and report this problem. That's the only way Apple can fix it.

Keen to hear if the wait three days means they will get back to you because Apple are radio silent on my end.

Hi, anybody had any luck? I just got my iPad Mini Retina today! Tried itunes store.. crashes every time, in both portrait and landscape.. with 3G or Wifi, bluetooth on or off. I logged out of my account, reset the ipad, factory reset the ipad.. all I have left to do is cry :.(

Annoyingly I have had so many problems with ios7 on my ipad 2 also. But with ios5 and 6 I think I only ever had to do a forced shutdown on the ipad once or twice.

Apple sort this out!

I had another strange thing happen... While using iPad Air in landscape position, I moved the ipad into portrait position yet the icons did not reposition themselves. Everything remained in landscape for several minutes before it normalized. Very strange! There are serious bugs in ios 7.0.4 or the iPad air is really messed up!

Such a shame because the hardware is stunningly good. This thread is a bit old now - they should have fixed this by now - especially considering its in. Revenue generations app.

I wonder if Apple have downsized their quality testing team?

Just my cents worth, I'm in Uk, having same problem, ipad air 64, iTunes works in portrait but crashes in landscape (every time). It crashed in portrait too once, but couldn't replicate that. Hope they find a fix. Cheers

Exact same issue on my new Mini 2. What a joke.

I've also reported my iTunes app crash on the following discussion group. Others are having low memory problems on their ipad air causing other apps to crash. I encourage you all to post your iTunes crashing app problem there too. I suspect it will attract more attention.

My iPad 1 has same problem.

Mainly the APP STORE and ITUNES apps, sometimes safari if I have more than one tab running.

The APP STORE and ITUNES apps crash all the time. It's happened for at least the past year or so. FRUSTRATING!!!!

Sounds like I'm not alone and need to let Apple Inc know what's up.

Mine crashes a dozen times a day!! Really fed up. Can't believe that I am even thinking about looking at alternatives to Apple, but I am.

Probably time to go public on investment boards on this issue. Perhaps it will get Apple's attention if they start talking about these isuues on the financial news networks. Glad I sold my stock too.

Well I don't understand why Apple isn't fixing this problem. My brand new ipad mini retina ios7 (wish I could have ios 5 , I was happy with that!) 2 days old, Itunes crashes on the Movies and Tv sections.

I would expect this sort of crappy buggy software on android devices, but Apple? Come on world richest tech company, sort this crap out!

I got excatly the same problem im landscape on iPad Air 64 GB.

iTunes crashes every time I go to movies store and click on a movie.

Safari crashes occasionally as well randomly.

First Apple product, not impressed, terrible stability.
