App updates are not showing up in iTunes

I have a notification of 14 apps for updating on my iPad and 15 apps on my iPhone. Yet, nothing is appearing in iTunes on my MacBook Pro / OS 10.9. No matter how often I click "Check for Updates", I am told that there are no updates available for my library. When I check the version numbers of the apps in my iTunes that appear on my iPad & iPhone, they are a version below what is available.

This has only started happening in the last couple of days.

iTunes-OTHER, OS X Mavericks (10.9)

same problem (Kuwait store)

I have 3 macs and same problem started before 4 days

I tied every thing:

-reinstall iTunes

-sign out and sign in my apple ID

-reauthorise ID on my mac

-remove apps from iTunes library and adding them again

-restart my mac (I have the latest mac book pro V10.9)

-change wifi network

-purchase more apps

no thing solve the problem..!

also when (right click) on some apps in my library and then click(show in iTunes store)

it show me the app in iTunes store but under the icon of the app shows: (update) instead of(downloaded)

also apple dont know any thing about that because I tried to contact them but they answer me to go to Technical!!

but this is not technical because it is happening for all my macs (mac book pro -imac - mac mini)

%100 this is the solution:

(after 10 hours of finding out)

the idea is: remove any app wich is not from your apple ID or from your old apple ID

just keep the apps that are from your current apple ID (it must be one apple ID apps in itunes library)

for me :I used to have 2 apple ID (kuwait and US)

but you must keep one

open itunes

iTunes > Apps > List (view)

(right click) on the first app > get info

now the window shows

find this field (apple ID)

you will see your ID (if not ) delete the app or redownload it from your apple ID

then click (Next) and do this for all apps

untel you reach this point: all apps are from one apple ID

I know it is strange but %100 this is the solution I am very sure about this

also Apple still dont know about this

I tried to contact them

Reducing an iTunes installation to one Apple ID is not possible for everyone ... even if this solution works for some.

I have one PC.

I have three people with Apple devices using iTunes on that PC.

iTunes is designed to use multiple IDs under one installation.

IF the issue is multiple iTunes IDs in the one library then Apple needs to fix the issue so updates are processed properly.

However, if this is the problem ... thanks very much for identifying it so that Apple can fix it.

I have this problem too. It started a couple of days ago. I have purchased apps from both the U.K. and U.S. iTunes Stores. The U.S. apps were preventing any updates from showing. As soon as I removed the few U.S. apps I have in my library all of the available app updates reappeared.

So this does seem to be the root cause of the issue. I hope Apple will fix it and that it isn't a delierabte change to prevent customers from purchasing apps from multiple iTunes stores.

Hi all I already know how to fix my itunes problem. I used to live in Australia for 4 years and my Apple Id country was Australia at that time. A year ago I already change my Apple Id country to Indonesia, after I changed the country to Indonesia at that time I though I already redownload all the app. Apparently I miss 1 and that is the problem. I already delete that 1 app (because there are no Indonesia version) and everything back to normal.

Ps: I only have 1 Apple Id, so the problem is not really the Apple Id but the country where the app bought, so multiple app with different country is the problem, even though the Apple Id is the same. Your app should be bought in the same country with your Apple Id. I hope this will help the others...

Good point, this might be the root of my problem, cause I have two different IDs for two countries.

But why does this problem occurs now?
