My Samsung M2675FN is not working since iOS 8, too. 😠
Yes I have the same problem and no way to fix it in the short term besides reconnecting the printer via USB to a Mac and running the network setup again for wifi and then again it only works for a day on the iPhone and somehow just cannot be found again on the wifi network via the iPhone. I have tied ping it to a static IP to see if that helps but still no joy. I have tried sharing options and no joy.
I am using an HP laser jet P1102w. Anyone have an answer to this?
I Just received an email from Samsung stating they are working on a patch that may be ready in the next two weeks. It will be posted on their support page. If they tell me anything more, I will post it here.
Same issue with EPSON WP4520
I have not been in contact with Epson, but there is no firmware update.
Apple updates ... and I spend a day trying to do what I was able to prior to update ... very frustrating. Sort of makes the upgrade worthless.
Why can't they make these updates backward compatible for a few years or so ... my printer is still being sold. It should not be obsolete by an IOS update. I am still puzzled by how an Apple "update" is the printer makers fault.
Anyways, anyone not anything on Epson?
What is the symptom you are seeing with your Epson WP4520? It probably isn't the same problem as is being seen with Samsung printers.
Not sure if different or the same. ... I can see the printer ... states printing ... then nothing at all.
Is your print job still sitting in the print center? Take a look at this thread if you are not sure how to check:
One other thing ... I have the same issue on two iPads. The printer work with various computers. Epson is closed on weekends. I will call during the week sometime. If I could edit my original post I would not use the word "fault."
No. The print center app never appears. This is an interesting point. The print center app normally appears then disappears. It no longer appears.
Also interesting, double clicking home (per link) no longer gives recent app scroll list at bottom.
Thanks for trying. I am done for the day.
I have an HP 410n Airprint capable laserjet printer. Airprint is turned on and firmware is up to date. I can print from one iPad with 8.0.1 but not from the other iPad or iPhone 6 with 8.0.2. I've reset all devices but nothing changes. It seems to me like an 8.0.2 issue.
MaryJo,
I am AirPrinting without a problem to two different HP AirPrint-enabled printers with 8.0.2 from both iPad air and iPhone... have you contacted HP?
When you say that you reset the devices, are you referring to a regular reset when you hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release? Have you tried to go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings, or Reset All Settings? That may be worth a try as well.
I have a wf 545 I just noticed I can not airprint! Whats the fix?
I am having an issue myself. I have airprint printer. That is annoying. I did find a work around since I have an Epson 545 - I downloaded the app. Now when you open the email attachment. You can send it to that app. (of course mine then closes) but it seems when you open the Epson app. the document is in saved documents and then you can print from there. How annoying is that. hope Apple fixes that. grrrrr
For those of you with Epson issues, you might want to take a look at this other discussion thread and what the final poster did to correct his error. iOS 8 & 8.0.2 AirPrint not working
