phone call from Yosemite does not work

Calling from Yosemite does not work at all. It attempts a call using iPhone but then it say "Call failed" / "Try Again" Anyone has a cure?

EDIT: Yes I am on WiFi. Both the phone and the computer are on the same WiFi. iPhone is running iOS8...

One thing I've noticed is if i leave to iphone for a while and then try and call it, the call does not transfer over to the macbook pro but if I've just used the phone in one way of another and then try and call to it the calls does get transferred over. Could it be that the phone once lock screen is on that wifi turns off? and that when a incoming call is on its way the phone does not always connect in time back to the wifi network or is the phone always connected to the wifi?

I have a MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012) and using iphone6 with IOS 8.1

1) I am on the same wifi and subnet

2) signed in on the same Apple ID both on Mac, Mac FaceTime, iphon6 and iphone6 FaceTime

3) enabled Cellular calls on iPhone and from mac

4) Handoff turned on, on both devices

5) Restarted everything more than twice

6) firewall allows connections

But STILL CANT MAKE CALLS or RECEIVE CALLS FROM MAC..... its says "iPhone Not Available, Your iPhone and Mac must be on the same Wi-Fi network"

Anyone knows whats going on???

Hi, I'm having the same problem. I've got Yosemite installed on my late 2013 iMac and iOS 8.1 on my iPhone. They are on the same wifi and I'm using the same Apple ID. I have iPhone cellular calls enabled on the iPhone and allow handoff is on on the iMac. Text messaging forwarding on the iPhone *says* it's sending to the iMac. Only it's not. There's no communication between the two at all. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated!

People are posting many solutions for fixes claiming it works. I have been on with Tier 2 support for over 7 hours past 2 days. Have a fully loaded iMac late 2012 that is suppose to work with handoff of calls. My calls do go through receiving but when i try to answer they fail. Have tried about 20 different remedies that have been posted not one works. Support has downloaded my computer files and sent to engineering hopefully they figure this out soon. It seems it is certain iMacs it won't not work on..We also have a late 2013 iMac and it works perfectly cans end and receive call on iPhone 6+ no issue. So it is either a hardware problem specific to that model or a software conflict on the 2012 iMac
