iPhone 6 Music Volume Drop After Notification

I have an iPhone 6 running iOS 8 (version 8.1). Usually, when I receive a notification while listening to music via headphones, the volume of the song drops slightly for the notification sound to alert me and then returns to normal. I've recently noticed that it often seems to get "stuck" in a low volume and either goes back to normal after waiting 3-10 minutes or when I receive another notification. Has anybody else had this problem? can anyone give suggestions on how to permanently fix this problem? Thanks!

I was at the apple store and 3 others had the same problem and all the tech assistant would say is "hm, never had that problem" That's when 3 others around me spoke up and said they had the same problem! Come on apple do something about this, we all spent good money for a product that for the price should work perfectly!!!

If anyone knows about a solution, please share the fix!! It's well apparent that apple is doing nothing about this issue as of yet!!

No Bueno apple!! Mr. 7.1 billion

BY the way, this problem is aside from the problem introduced after iphone 5 came out , of music tracks having slightly slower seek rates. Anyone who is sensitive to music's rhythm and has heard music on iphone 4 or prior knows what i am talking about. The differencr is even more apparent when u r high on marijuana. Its as if a song that show 6 monutes on the timer is actually taking 6minutes and 20 seconds to complete.

sometimes i play a song on my applve tv and my iphone 6 simultaneously and it seems the iphone is trying to catch up to the apple tv playback.

I'm using a iPhone 5 at the latest iOS iteration and experience the same thing. Reading through the suggestions above what I did that worked (temporarily) is to force closed Facebook app and switch to iTunes and play something, adjusting the volume. When I switched back to the Podcast app (where the volume drop had occurred) it went back to full volume. So I have no idea of what items of what I did had any impact.

All I know is, I put it on the charger with the speakers, start a podcast, and then five to ten minutes in the volume drops in half. That is to say that if my charger tells me it's on "10", after the volume drops off I have to kick it up to 20 to get it to sound like it did.

I don't have the phone set to lock automatically on a timer, so I don't think it's that. I'm considering disabling bluetooth to see if maybe it tries to poll other devices (like my macbook) and that triggers it.

same problem here with my iphone 6 running updated ios 8.1.3. the volume won't go back to normal after receiving google mail and whatsapp messages. first, i try to turn off the phone and put it back on; it works. but the problem still occur whenever i receive another notification. instead of turning it off, i close all running app at backgrounds including the music player then the volume back to normal again. apple, do fix it please...

I Had the same issue on my iPad. It seemed to only happen with FB so after reading this post I went to Settings/Facebook/Settings/Notifications and turned off the sound notifications. I closed done FB and so far I haven't gotten the lower volume problem. I have my fingers crossed that it is fixed now.

I have the same issue. Seems to be connected to running the Facebook app for me as well. Sometimes the volume will drop as soon as I open the app. Other times it will just lower at a seemingly random time. Almost 100% of the time the volume will drop at the start of the next track. My workaround is to rewind the track using the "scrub" tool (using your finger to drag the time on of the song). This brings the volume back up to normal, but it drops again when the next track plays. Very annoying issue for sure. I sent a bug report to Apple and I suggest you all do the same.
