iPhone 6 Music Volume Drop After Notification

Good News Guys!

I updated my phone to 8.2 today and haven't faced the issue at all; even with Facebook in the background.

Still happening for me on occasion. iPhone 6+ / iOS 8.2 (12D508). Volume drops when gmail notification comes in. Restored most easily by opening and closing Siri.

Volume dropping during notifications and returning back to normal is by design. Just keep the phone on silent and this wont happen.

just flick of the ring/silent switch.After that you will not hear the notification sound and it will not interrupt you while you are listening to the music.i always do it.

So, the problem actually is from the Facebook App. I find when mine does it, 80% of the time, I have no notification coming through. It just randomly does it. I after about the fourth time, I double-tapped the Home button and killed every other active app, one at a time, to see if a certain app will restore volume. Every time my volume drops and gets "stuck" I can find my Facebook app, kill it, and volume restores instantly. The only thing I can think of is to rate the app in the App Store and get everyone to leave a comment for them to address this issue. Anyone reading this, try it and see if this is the same for everyone else.

ME too ive sme issue and to solve it .. Kill the fb app frm background or pause the music and press play again .... and happened with all ios version even the ltest one ... I hope it get fixed ..

It used to happen because of Facebook app even without any visible notification. But today real notifications from Skype caused this bug. And killing skype didn't help. Killing Music app did. Weird. iPhone 6 iOS 8.2.
Hey Apple how you can ignore so stupid, annoying and obvious bug for so long! I'm furious!

Problem Still persists on ios 8.3

Do not know if this a facebook or someother app problem,but volume seems to just drop randomly.

I am surprised this issue is open for 6 months and Apple doesn't care to fix this. Facing the same issue - iPhone 6 - iOS 8.3

I'm running iOS 8.3 and noticed it more so when a Facebook notification comes in. I've found out if it happens, enter multi-tasking and close out Facebook, volhome should return to normal... Not sure if it is Facebook app interfering with iOS Notifications setting or not but either company should fix it soon because it is very frustrating.

I'm experiencing the issues under 8.3 (iPhone 5s). IIRC I did not have this issue prior to 8.1.

This issue affects streaming audio services, streaming video, local audio, and local video. Basically if you're running any kind of media, the audio issue occurs.

Again, it's as if a notification comes in, though there's no actual notification sound or popup of any kind (at least for me). The audio drops as it would for a notification but does not return to normal without intervention (kill the media app and restart playback) or without waiting several minutes.

As a quick work around if you Fast Forward or rewind for 2 seconds the volume returns to normal. After doing this sometimes when it proceeds to the next music track it will have the same issue. Gets really frustrating and I wish.

Same problem here, while listening songs halfway the volume drop and the following song, will play at lower volume. You need to fast forward the song, and it will get back on normal volume.

This happen so randomly. Anyone can help on this? New 8.4 update has no fix for this.

So a lot of people are basically saying to kill the Facebook app but I have this issue with the random sound drops while watching videos on Facebook it self... I guess there is nothing I can do about that one? Has no one else noticed this while viewing actual facebook content? And it's not because of notifications going off either...
