Can't change Country/Region after cancel Apple Music membership !

Hi. I think I have a solution: find an app via google which is only available in the store you want to switch to, click on it, you'll be redirected to the App Store which will ask you to (and allow you to) switch region.

Ik it's a little late but I had the same issue and I searched for Canadian store specific apps on safari and opened them in the App Store and it says "cannot be used in the us store do you want to change stores?" Select change stores and you should be good to go

I had the same problem. Fixed it by deleting an app that's only available for the region that you're trying to get back to. Then going to safari, search for the app in Google and click on the app to open the app store and change region.

Guys, I had the same issue and I went through many treads and forums but never found a solution. What I did was I contacted the offical apple support through the site. It works like this, you provide them with your name apple id and phone number and they'll call you right away. And the CSR will cancel your subscription from their end right away and also guide you step by step on how to change the region thereafter. Cheers.

Hi everyone who are facing the same problem as i did before; I actually found a solution to this problem without having to wait 3 months till the trial period ends; I first open App Store and just tap on any app like I'm about to purchase/get it; then the "change store" does appeared and I tap on it; It then directly change store for me based on the country which it available. And yes, i'm able to do any purchase or download music in App Store, iTunes and Apple Music after that

Wait for an update from an app that is from your country. As soon as you select update, it will alert you that the update for that app is not available in your current country and will give you an option to “Change Country”. Then you will automatically be switched to your previous country.

I know this is crazy replying to this question which was posted more than two years ago. But I’m doing this with the hopes that it might help somebody else now.

had the same issue here and resolved it in a similar manner. But rather than wait for update, search for your country specific app in safari on your device. usually an online video or radio streaming service. I searched for UK radio. Click on the link to install the app. Now you will be asked to change app stores.

Silly but it worked.

The thing that worries me is that Apple will consider this to be a bug and fix it in future releases but not fix the underlying problem. ideally user should be able to change the country without having to cancel various subscriptions.

It is actually possible to cancel your Apple Music membership and change countries if you call them. They might have to bump to their supervisor, but it's possible.

You do not have to make this "unsubscribe" madness. Just open browser in iphone, search in for an some app published only in desired region. Then click "get", propmpt that you want open this in App store app and wuala, popup for region change appears 😉. I unawares change my region from Slovak to U.S. and lot of thinks gone stange on my Iphone.

This works great for viewing the app, but when you try to download it it’ll reject you unless it’s also in your App Store country. It might also be that your country has some special arrangement for the App Store.

Hi there’s one way it can be done - just Google specific apps for the country itself and then click on the link which will open on iTunes and when you try downloading the app, it will prompt and then switch the store automatically without having to cancel Apple Music

Okay I have been trying to switch from US store to Canadian for the longest time and

a solution i found that worked for me is that if you have an(other) account that is created in the Canadian store, and you log into that account, you will be able to access the Canadian (or which ever regioni u desire this case) app store, and apple music etc. Since it will switch back itself

But that is, of course, if you have another account that is in the canadian store, if you don't then this wouldnt work.

Surprise apple still haven't fixed this yet

Problem: Subscribed to 3month apple music free trial. Received a song from a friend who’s using Philippines Apple ID, so my apple music with my apple ID (for UAE) won’t work anymore.

Solution: Go to apple store. Update an application. It’ll ask you to change store. :) voila! Tried apple music and it worked! 💕
