Thanks so much, this was the only thing that worked . I upgraded no problem but my husband experienced the above problem Followed your instructions and the only ones that worked. Lost everything as he didn't know how to back up but at least he has a working phone again !

Hi, I tried to restore using itunes, but it doesn't allow me because I have "Find My Iphone"turned on. Do you know what else I can do?

You must to restart you iphone in DFU mode before to try to restore.

I'm having the same issue as the above comment - however, when I've got my phone plugged into my lap top with iTunes, it doesn't allow me to reset with the lightening symbol above... It simply just resets. Therefore, I cannot complete any of the the other steps

This totally helped me to solve the issue on my ipad 4th generation, and got the same problem with the slide freeze,

i went to itunes, connected my ipad on default mode, and restored it.

I want to mention that i didnt activated the navigation service or Siri, i did it manually once the ipad was successfully restored.

A nice man from Apple was finally able to return my iPad to working status, after which I packed it up and sent it to Amazon for $$ credit. I'm afraid Apple lost a customer today. This would NEVER have happened under Steve Jobs' watch. I will keep using my iMac until it dies, then decide what Windows PC I will purchase at that time.

Hold the power and reset button for a long time, once the apple logo comes up on the white screen, continue to hold it until the black screen comes up with the itunes logo and the lightning cable appears. Make sure its plugged into the computer as well 🙂 Hope that helps x

I managed to restore my iPhone but it is a new phone now. How can I get the automatic backup which was done while software upgrade? I dos the backup to the computer. Will it be stored somewhere in the PC? Can I use the backup which did while software upgrade process?

this is not working someone pls help or show me the way through a video???
