Printing a message different page counts

I get bunches of attachments. The Mail program shows MOST of them, just like a Quick Look. Some show up with a ?, yet Quick Look will show the correct view.

PRINTING even those that SHOW the proper quick look image is hit and miss.

The print preview box will show a scroll bar and NOT print the image of the attachment.

Keep banging away and the right Print preview will all of a sudden appear.

So the Page count would be off.

Buggies upgrade EVER.

I have got the same problem:

emails with scaleable attachments (images, 1-page pdf ...) print differently depending on the current width of the email-window: if the width is "too small" (to render the attachment without scaling) both the resulting pdf and printout will include a vertical scrollbar and will screw up the layout ... either ending right after such an image or some place later on

it seems those problems are not entirely new, a quick search shows the following:
