digital output dropping after ios 10.3.1 update

I am using a lightning to USB adapter to connect from my iPhone 6 Plus to a Chord Mojo DAC/amp. After upgrading the phone to iOS 10.3.1 the digital output drops completely after a few minutes and I need to unplug and restart the app. The issue is the same for Apple Music, Tidal and Spotify. When I use the Mojo with my MacBook I don't have any issues. I think this is a bug in the latest iOS version. Has anyone else experienced this issue and what is the fix? Can I go back to the previous version of iOS? Thanks

I have had the same issue with Oppo products. The Oppo customer support told me that they are out of ideas. Everytime they fix something Apple comes along with a new firmware that causes new issues.

I talked to Apple (1hr on the phone + 20 mins genius bar). They said that it is an issue of the 3rd party manufacturer and I should only use Apple products. I showed them the MFi label. Then they told me to wait for iOS11.

I decided to move away from Apple after 10 years.

Please don't blame 3rd party/MFi products for this. It is 100% Apples fault.

When Steve Jobs died, Apple died too. It's sad but true.

I also suspect some combinations of hardware and iOS after 10.0. Since 11.0 and 11.01 not only didn't help but also had other issues (slowness and incredible battery drain), I went back to 10.3.3. After I downgraded while I still could, I plugged in the Chord Mojo using the CCK USB3 and a Lightning into that to power, as a test. Not expecting much, surprisingly everything worked again. I listened for 5 hours or so without any issue whatsoever. It reminded me how nice that is. As soon as I switched to the older but simpler, smaller USB2 CCK, the old issues came back.

I'm saying this only to let others know of that experience.

I will buy a DAP and forget Apple, Chord Mojo, and Chord Electronics. I unfortunately still need my iPhone for work, but will drop it as soon as feasible. Even between Apple products (my MacBook and iPhone), software doesn't sync as it should, and inconsistencies show up between the supposedly synced data of various Apple apps, e.g., my address book and calendar, that go against the reason I adopted them in the first place: ease and compatibility.

I hope others have better luck. Apple's lost its vision.
