Audi MMI and iOS 11

I'm SO frustrated!! I just did the update on my phone today, and now my phone will not play ANY music through the MMI. Whenever I plug my phone in, a box pops up saying "can't connect". ***?? I really hope Audi OR Apple comes up with a solution.... this seems to be a reoccurring issue.

In the past I could connect my iPhone 6 to a cable inside my glove compartment using a lightning adapter and it would play music over the Audi MMI music system it would also charge and play Podcasts. Since I’ve updated to iOS 11 the system does not even recognize the phone it won’t charge and it won’t play music Allie seems to think it’s an Apple problem

Thanks for that, however when you say a cable do you mean a Standard USB cable with a lightening connector or do you mean another type of cable?

I cannot find a Standard USB plug anywhere in the car???

OK, things must have changed on different models. I have no USB anywhere in the car and nothing at all in the glove box.

The nearest i get to any plug it a rubber covered one in the arm rest that resembles nothing I've ever seen.

I have a different problem with the same car (A3 17/18 2.0 TFSI): Bluetooth works fine (without album art) but when connected to AMI (USB 1 or 2) the first seconds of almost every song are skipped (not played) going directly to second 6, 8 or 9... Also when trying to control the music on the iphone (Apple Music, downloaded songs or streaming) with MMI, MMI crashes or plays the selected song while keeping previous song on the screen. Anyone knows anything about it?

I am having the same problem. The music will play through the phone speaker but not the car. 2009 Audi Q7. Annoyed!

the connection from iphone 6 (iOS11) to MMI Connect works as usual, until the device is placed in the charging Qi tray. Then the connection breaks off.

I have the exact same problem. Also after updating to 11.01. Worked fine with 10.3x

I can connect okay, but the Audi MMI interface states the music format is incompatible

Same here, 2014 A7. Bluetooth connection works fine. Wired connection no longer recognizes the phone.

I upgraded to 11.1 beta this morning. Still no dice.

in my case the iphone connects but the quality of the phonecalls is extremely poor. audi a6 with mmi 3.0.

The same problem with Audi (2009 A4 Allroad). Updated to iOS11 . Now I can't use voice control
