I run all the same widgets in the same order. I don’t think the issue was related to widgets at all.

I have found that unlocking the phone then swiping down from the top to show your list of notifications fixes the issue of the disappearing clock. It is unnecessary to restart your phone. I have an iPhone SE with iOS 11. Hope this helps.

iOS 11.1. Same issue.
This worked for me as well
Remove the widgets and put the ones back you want. this has fixed mine for almost a week now. Knock on wood
This happens almost twice a day with my iPhone 7 and it’s starting to annoy me big time!! Gone is the clock and no notifications either
Same thing keeps happening to my 8+. Turning off and back on fixes for a time, but randomly and inexplicably the clock and notifications from lock screen are gone.
I have removed ALL widgets and updated to IOS 11.2 beta 4 and so far so good. I’ll update again if the bug reappears.
I also switched to dynamic wallpaper too.
Yeah I it may be the discover app because I used the same one but I’m afraid to add anything apps back on.
Sometimes I only receive notifications on Apple Watch and sometimes on both. It's really inconsistent.
It is really inconsistent. The time has shown up for the past coupLe of weeks. Notifications are hit and miss. Haven't figured out a pattern yet. 11.0.2 iPhone 7.
I restarted my phone and clock came back for awhile but disappeared again.
Disable ALL widgets. That seemed to work for me. Also if you have a Discover CC widget that may be the problem.
I read another reply that referenced the Discover card widget. Removed that widget and no problems since then. Longest I’ve gone without the problem reoccurring.
