Clock missing from lock screen after iOS 11 update

After updating to iOS 11, I can no longer see my clock on the lock screen. I have to unlock the phone to see what time it is. Super annoying. Has anyone else had this issue? Is there a quick and easy fix?

That worked for me too....not sure if anyone else noticed this or not but this bug also effects your use of the control center function when your screen is locked. I sometimes swipe up to use my camera quickly when the screen was locked and that function didn't work either. Changing it to zoomed has worked. I haven't change it back to standard yet to just test out how long it lasts before moving back to standard view.

It’s defintely not a coincidence. However, I will acknowledge that it’s possible there are different widgets that could theoretically cause the same problem. Try removing widgets one at a time until the problem stops. I would be willing to bet money that this problem has something to do with a specific kind of profile being used by some builds under the widget feature.

Even if the Discover App is a culprit there is still a root issue that's allowing an App to cause the clock and notifications to not show on lock screen.

I'm not sure if I saw any other posts mentioning that notifications too fail to show. I discovered this after getting a couple chimes on my phone and seeing it light up and then realizing the screen is blank save for my wallpaper. So as it turns out, when this issue manifests itself I'll get the audible alert from a notification, but the banner on lock screen does not appear and the clock is missing. Usually I'll just hit a button to check the time and find out my clock is missing and need to reset, so I was unaware of the issue with notifications until recently.

Something is wrong in the guts of iOS to allow this and Apple should find out what and why and if they need to tell developers to update their Apps then so be it. Why should we be forced to remove an App widget(s) that we may use and enjoy? I'd like to see a fix to this issue. We have several iOS devices, but so far have only experienced this with my 8 Plus and iPad Pro 10.5". I do use the Discover App and widget on both devices - I don't think my wife and daughter do on theirs however, so that may be why they haven't said anything.

I have submitted Feedback to Apple twice regarding this issue. Once for just my 8 plus then again just today because since the first submission of feedback I have encountered the issue on my iPad. Hopefully they can get it addressed so we can continue to use Apps and widgets that we have been using for some time.
