iOS 11 - Clock on lock screen disappears

Thank You! I believe that’s exactly what it was. I disabled my Discover card widget and haven’t had that problem yet.

I have the same problem after upgrading to iOS 11 on iPhone 7 (I didn't use beta previously), but swiping down doesn't help it, I have to wait until it randomly fixes itself or restart the device, it's very annoying.

Yeah I'm having the same issue and today I noticed that none of my notifications are coming through. My phone lights up like a notification has been received but my lock screen is blank except for my wallpaper.

If the zoom worked then I would guess that there is a different item causing the lock screen to stop updating the clock display. I’d guess it’s one of the graphic drivers that crashes when it reads a stored zoom state that doesn’t make sense.

Anyway I’ve had no difference in any upgrade. They have not fixed the fact that the display of the lock screen gets into an error state and will not get out until a recycle is done. This recycle is in the reboot, power cycle, and bold text settings, and imagine elseware but I haven’t found it.

Settings - Display - zoom worked for me, but note that doing so actually re-starts the phone, so it’s essentially the same as restarting the phone.

I’ve been having this problem on my 6s since updating to iOS 11.0.3 (from iOS 10.) Clearly a bug - one of many bugs I’ve encountered in iOS 11.

I tried this exactly and it did not work, unfortunately. I've gone as many as 8 days without it happening, but it always returns. With this "fix," it worked for one day. Personally, I believe it has something to do with iMessage or notifications, but I'm not sure.

Any work around that reboots the phone will "fix" it temporarily, including switching to zoom, etc. Not a real fix. Hopefully Apple will fix this soon!

I’ve noticed the clock disappearing only recently, and it seems to occur after using the Do Not Disturb While Driving feature. Also, notifications appear intermittently whether or not you use the feature.

Yea ill wait till it happens again. If it does, I will remove the banking widget and see from there.

Also, last iOS update: "Introduces three new Live wallpapers for iPhone X"??? REALLY? why can't Apple focus on fixing bugs first and then introduce sh*t like new live wallpapers, that will only drain your batteries more. nobody cares.

Also what is happening to this forum? When I am writing an reply I get send to the top of the page. They can't even make a forum work.

My settings are on standard but still every week de clock dissapears and notification screen stays empty. Only solution so far is a reboot.

I’m not on any beta but based on my experience with iOS11 it looks like it still is. It does not feel stable. Never had to reboot on iOS 10.

They will most likely "Reset" the phone because that seems to be apples only fix.....FOR EVERYTHING. My phone was brand new from the store and was doing that, talk to tech support and off course they told me to go any further I had to update to the latest IOs 11.2, but I knew that wouldn't fix anything because users here were reporting the same issue with the latest ios.

Yes I traded in my 6s because I thought it was the phone! Got the 8plus and still happened. I tried disabling some widgets, it’s weird if it was or is the bank app that the problem just started with. Couple weeks and I’ve had the bank widget for many months. 🤔

I feel like returning my new phone and save $ but I can’t get my trade in back! 8plus is nice but soooo heavy.

I have same problem, also notifications disappears and I must restart the iPhone. Please, fix it. -- I used beta iOS 11

On iPhone X you can toggle bold text which will restart springboard and temporarily fix the issue. Hopefully Apple actually fixes it soon.

Hoping there's a fix to this soon. The Zoomed/Standard display "fix" will work for 1-2 days or 1 hour....not consistent but I figure it's better than constantly restarting your phone.

I’ve been 16 days as well. The only widget I removed was Discover Card.
