After upgrading my iPhone SE to iOS 11, the clock on lock screen disappearred.
When I restart, the clock reappears, but again it disappears.
Is there any other solution other than restarting the iPhone?

Looks like this is (maybe) a perm fix. I have had this issue since 11 and re-boot no luck, reset and reinstall from backup no luck, reinstall totally clean no luck. But this easy fix / workaround seems to have worked:
Settings -> Display -> View -> Zoomed and then Settings -> Display -> View -> Standard.
So far almost a full day and no disappearing clock.
Do you use the Discover Card/Bank app? The widget for that app was causing this problem on my phone. When I removed it, the problem stopped. I knew it was a software issue because it happened on my iPhone 7 and my new iPhone X. If you use that widget, try removing it.
Before I even knew about the Bank widget causing these issues I had performed a hard reset my phone. Swapped it out for a new one, upgraded my phone and everything. Once I removed the widget boom issue was gone it’s been 2 weeks and no issues. I even went back to my iphone6s as the only reason I upgraded was bc of this. I returned the X.
Yes I traded in my 6s because I thought it was the phone! Got the 8plus and still happened. I tried disabling some widgets, it’s weird if it was or is the bank app that the problem just started with. Couple weeks and I’ve had the bank widget for many months. 🤔
I feel like returning my new phone and save $ but I can’t get my trade in back! 8plus is nice but soooo heavy.
In my experience it’s not widget specific. It’s more about the amount of widgets. Clear them all and then add them back one at a time in order of importance.

Finally! I’ve been struggling with this for a while and had tried everything recommended by the employees at the Apple Store. I guess this is my new fix until they release a fix. Hopefully they fix it soon. Thank you.
So it was the banking app for you? I had been deleting widgets and noticed when I deleted the banking one everything was ok, then I thought I’d add it back. Was good for a couple days but then acted up again. So deleted banking app again. I hope they fix this! What’s the point of having the widgets if you can’t use them lol
So far so good ! Don’t want to jinx it by sounding to excited lol.
Now if the sound issue can be fixed so I don’t have to keep restarting to get sounds such as keyboard clicks or text tones back, it will be perfect !
I have same problem, also notifications disappears and I must restart the iPhone. Please, fix it. -- I used beta iOS 11
I have found a temporary fix for the problem. When clock disappeared, I just swiped top down on lock screen and the clock reappeared.
I'd like to try this but I don't have a "view" option.
Having the exact same issue with my 5s. Swiping down helps some of the time but not always. I’ve never restarted my phone so much as in the last week.
Apple, please fix!
So far it seems to be better on 11.0.1, it still happens sometimes, but it's able to recover itself pretty quickly for me.
