How do I remove the music player from the lock screen in iOS 11?
I need to see my notifications. I don't use the music player... I will NEVER use the music player. It's taking up valuable real estate.
Thanks!
iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 11.0.1

So is there an update on this?
This quite annoying and eating up real estate on the lock screen !!
Fix it Apple, we don’t need or want the music player control on our lock screens all the time !!!!!!!!
Didn’t work, your welcome
Holding down power for 5 secs, letting the phone turn off and then turning it back on is not difficult. Literally takes 60 secs.
Btw I meant lock screen, not home screen.
Sorry it didn't work for you. So far it's working just fine for me.
And I read through all the fixes. I was only trying to help others. Still working for me. I must be blessed.
Update- I deleted the music app altogether from my phone. Opened pandora, then closed the pandora app. So far no pesky music app on my lock screen “notifications “ anymore. I’m crossing my fingers!
Rolling eyes
I didn’t turn it off,I uninstalled it. I’ve been in my car, Bluetooth at home, etc. it no longer lingers . I have an 6s, this worked for me, yippee!
I turned off notifications in my settings, turned my phone off, then back on and it hasn’t returned. Hopefully this works.
Go to Settings>Music
Turn off "Show Apple Music"
It comes back after encountering bluetooth. It always is in the control center, and always will at some point return to the lock screen.
That sounds great! I don't want to delete mine altogether until I finish getting my 11,000 songs into Google Play. ...
It comes back.
I connect to Bluetooth in my car and a Bose speaker daily and it hasn’t came back. I did all the suggestions in this thread over a week ago so thankfully it’s worked for me.
THANK YOU!!!
:-)
