How do I remove the music player from the lock screen in iOS 11?
I need to see my notifications. I don't use the music player... I will NEVER use the music player. It's taking up valuable real estate.
Thanks!
iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 11.0.1

So is there an update on this?
This quite annoying and eating up real estate on the lock screen !!
Fix it Apple, we don’t need or want the music player control on our lock screens all the time !!!!!!!!
I'm so glad...thank you! No return banner for me yet so hopefully this is a good fix :-)
I’m glad it has worked for you too! Yay!
Thanks. Worked for me
No this didn’t work. It’s still showing
Hey @divingdale. Did you try @ilovegoldens3's solution? Page 34 @ Feb 14, 2018 9:48 PM
Many thanks - I couldn’t find that post but think I might have solved it.
Settings- notifications -music- show on lock screen. Mine was turned off. I’ve turned it on a bizarrely seems to be FIXED!!
I tried this but it still comes back when my phone connects with Bluetooth in car. Grr
All fixes are only temporary. This isn't a user error issue. lt's an issue that can't be fixed without Apple changing something.
There is actually a toggle button for this in settings, under notifications and then music. I toggled it off and restarted my phone and it fixed the problem.
I sorted it by turning notifications on!
I called Apple support. After doing a recommended “hard” restart on my iPhone the issue was resolved.
wow...thanks... .after 36 pages of thread, nobody tried that! (where's the emoji for an eye roll?)
I turned off the music under settings / music. Then turned off the phone and turned it back on. It went away after that.
ALL I DID WAS POWER MY PHONE OFF AND TURNED IT BACK ON. ITS FINALLY GONE. FRUSTRATING ISSUE
glad that’s all you had to do. It’s only a temporary fix for me. As soon as my car bluetooth links it comes back.
