iphone 8 poor/sensitive mic during call

Just got a new iPhone 8 (updated to ios 11.0.2) upgraded from iPhone 6. When making a call if not talking directly into the mic the person on the other end cannot hear me (or my voice volume is drastically lower). This occurs when even slightly moving the phone away from my mouth or rotating the phone slightly up or down. My father has the same problem with his iPhone 8, even returned it and got a new one, same problem. Switching to speaker phone solves the problem. Also noting it does not happen all the time and a hard reset can fix it for a bit but then it goes back to the bad behavior.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Someone suggested this once before. I tried it again and it still doesn’t work. :(

I am now on my 2nd iPhone 8. Sound quality is terrible worst iPhone I have ever had.

I’m on my third iPhone 8 now. Still having the same problem, although they’ve been decent with customer services and swapping mine out I’m fed up going into the apple store.

It is pretty clear this is nothing Apple will solve. They are probably happy this pushes us to use Facetime...

I want my 6s back (this problem is for all models from 7 to X)...

SOLVED! Bought an S9+. Perfect talking phone, awesome screen, better all the way around! No more Apple anything for me! Done period!
