When cold flash not working IPhone 8+

Yep...I'm in the states.

Maybe the X triggers the unfreezing a bit differently and like you mentioned, via the flashlight method

Lets hope for a software fix as I don't want to swap my phone. My 7 did not have that issue

Swapping the phone does not help!

Yes, another model. Hope it won’t take that long for the Apple engineers to release this new software update, provided it’s a software issue. It really annoys me!
