How do I select multiple photos in iCloud?

Why wouldn't iCloud work EXACTLY the same as Finder, in that you an use the shift key to select sequential photos? Why is it different - this is silly. You actually have to use command and select each of 1,000 photos to download? I need to use iCloud since Apple still won't make it available to view photos as a folder to simply drag and drop into a folder! ImageCapture ALWAYS crashes! Help!

iPhone 4S, iOS 6.1.4

I just did it last night, Windows 10 with Chrome. Use Alt + Ctrl key

Using the alt key then selecting each picture worked for me.... Ctrl Shift did not

For Mac users, you can airdrop from "Photos" on iOS to download folder.
