Dragon medical doesn't work on Mac High Sierra OS and doesn't work with MS office products

I bought a new Mac book pro which came with High Sierra OS as well as dragon medical 5 which is pretty expensive piece of software (around $1300) and latest MS office. Unfortunately, in the Mac world it doesn't work together. Even dragon prof 6.0.8 which is tested for High Sierra OS runs stable but doesn't talk to MS office products. It doesn't recognise text fields, inserts at the wrong place and deletes words or letters, it messes up templates. Nuance is not able to provide a workable solution at the moment. It seems to have difficulties with the MS Office Accessibility (and High Sierra).

It even doesn't work with pages and templates. I am not talking about the consumer version dragon naturally speaking but the professional premium product and the medical version.

A real shame as in the windows world it works beautifully! I haven't used a transcription service for years! I like my Mac but this a deal breaker! Has anyone any solution?

MacBook Pro TouchBar and Touch ID, macOS High Sierra (10.13.3), dragon medical 5

It appears that Dragon 5 doesn't support High Sierra.

Via their webpage ref Dragon 5:

System requirements

  • RAM: 4GB, 8GB+ recommended
  • CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz or faster processor—Intel Core i3, i5 or i7 recommended
  • Free hard disk space: 16GB
  • Supported operating systems: OS X Mavericks (10.9), OS X Yosemite (10.10) or OS X El Capitan (10.11)
  • An Internet connection for automatic product activation (a quick anonymous process) and access to online help

Built-in microphone or a Nuance-approved microphone. Some older devices are no longer supported. See support.nuance.com/compatibility for more information.

Have you spoken with the manufacturers of the software to see what may be compatible or if they have a version that supports newer OS versions?
