This app is no longer shared with you

My wife got the error "This app is no longer shared with you" after she updated to iOS 11.2.5 on her iPhone SE and tried to access the app "Streaks" which I had purchased and she downloaded using Family Sharing. I found another prominent discussion about the issue which was closed, however I wanted to post the solution I found for others to find.

I tried the follow without it fixing the issue

1. Shutting off the iPhone by holding down the power button

2. Signing out of her Apple ID and signing in again

3. Turning off app sharing under the FamilySharing section of my account

What finally solved the problem was

Going to Settings>General>iPhone Storage>scrolling down to the app "Streaks" and selecting>"offload app" and then reinstalling it.

This did not delete her information as per the new offload feature, and she no longer gets the error. I hope this helps others struggling with the issue especially after an update.

iPhone SE, iOS 11.2.5, null

I have been getting this problem as well.

I was able to fix it the first time by removing all family members from family share, then logging out of iCloud on ALL systems, including laptops. Then, re-log into all the devices, set up family share again from scratch. That worked.. last time.

Your fix worked for me this time, on one of my phones but not the other. I swear Apple's iCloud is so messed up. I am afraid of what will happen when iMessage moves to iCloud.

I too, have this problem. The only thing is - the app is no longer avaliable from the App Store - it's a very old app and is installed on our computer on itunes. So, all the 'fixes' are of no use to me unless I go to the computer and download it from there..! A real hassle as the iTunes program was completely ruined recently so I cannot ⚠ update it. I do wish Apple would stop messing around with things that WORK by making them very user unfriendly.
