Some time ago I followed instructions from a community member on how to turn off the preview panel in mail by sliding the divider between the mail list and the preview panel all the way to the right. This worked however I can't figure out how to reverse the action? How do I get my preview panel back?

Please confirm you are not in Classic Layout. If so, you have to drag up from the bottom. There is a dot.
Which brings up a possible solution. If not in Classic Layout, set it to that, then drag up from bottom dot.
Switch back to the new Layout.

Have you tried sliding the divider line back to the left?
It probably doesn't look like it is there, but you should be able to move your cursor to the right edge and drag it back.
(I'm not on a mac right now so I can't test it)
If that fails, there is one more thing you could try... at the bottom of this user tip from Duane
Put the cursor on the right border and move it in and out until you see a left-pointing arrow instead of a double arrow. Click and drag, but don't expect to see any movement for a ways across the screen. There is a slight delay before it starts moving.
I imagine the delay was added to prevent revealing the viewing panel (note that it is not a "preview"--it is the message) when they were attempting to shrink the window.
Thanks Barney but I get nothing other than the standard cursor arrow or the double arrow, no left-pointing arrow. I've hovered, moved slowly, moved quickly, no luck. I wish I could show you. I took a video on my iPhone and see I have the option to add a photo to this post but it seems no option for me to add a video. The icon for video is ghosted out and does not react when clicked.
In three column layout, if no Preview pane. First verify you have the mail app in Full Screen Mode
Then moving the mouse to the far right will allow you to grab the border and drag it to the left and into view. Please note it is a little sticky—that is to say you have to drag it left much further then you would expect before it pops into view
Thanks but unfortunately that does not work. That only moves the edge of the full window to the left making it smaller. There does not seem to be a grab point any longer for the preview pane.
Works the same in normal and Full Screen. No need to change views, though you may have a better chance getting the left-arrow cursor.
