My Passport for Mac
The icon for WD My Passport for Mac doesn't show up on my desktop anymore. I have a Mac Book Pro and it used to show. I just did an upgrade to the Mac OS Apps and now it's gone. Do I have to re-install it or something?

That would be my My Passport drive in the image.
To get the same results for yours, just do the following:
If you go into Finder preferences, you can choose what you want to show on the desktop. Try looking at Finder preferences.
I ran the link you provided and the report says I have used 348.92 GB and that I have 150.84 GB free. What does that mean?
Do you have a 512GB SSD? The report is showing you have used 348GB of disk space, and you still have 150GB of disk space to use.
I don't know if that was my actual status or if it was Tesserax...... I'm so totally confused.
The screenshot was of Tesserax's drive. What are you confused about?
I have a PN 4064-705107-000, LOT NUMBER JEMSHE168130JG beyond that I have no clue.
How do I find out what my MacBook Pro has?
If you click on the Apple icon, upper left corner in the Menu Bar, go to About This Mac, it will show you all of your system and computer information.
None of that is helping me understand why the ICON for the My Passport is gone from my Desktop. I'm just going around in circles because I don't understand all this stuff.
When you plug in your WD My Passport drive into your Mac, is should appear on the Desktop.
If it does not, try unplugging it, and then, plugging it back in. Does it appear on the Desktop now?
No I just get the message that it was not ejected correctly
Click on the message to cancel it, and then, try re-plugging the drive back in.
Without the icon I can't do anything. it's just a blank spot. Guess I will have to completely shut down and see what happens...... sorry I'm such a old lady about this stuff. Bye
