Text Message Forwarding Not Working

Recently my iMessage and on my Mac stopped talking to my iPhone. It used to be I could text from my computer and my phone... if I sent a message from iMessage, I could see it on my phone and vice versa. I don't know what happened.

I have followed the steps posted online to fix this, but the Text Message Forwarding Code never pops up... I have tried work arounds and still nothing. Ugh. I want this fixed.

Everything is checked off where it needs to be... How does this get corrected?

If I understand your issue, your Mac doesn't have any issues sending/receiving iMessages, but it is having issues with SMS messaging ... correct? As you know, the Messages app on both your Mac and iPhone support both messaging types.

I also understand that your iPhone is not having any issues with SMS messaging, but the Text Messaging Forwarding option on the iPhone is not working with your Mac ... correct?

What version of macOS is your Mac running? How about the version of iOS for your iPhone? Are you running any software firewall or anti-virus apps on your Mac?

My iPhone is version 11.2.6 and my MAC is version 11.0.3.

The text message forwarding still doesn't come up with a code.

I can text through my phone and my MAC. But they no longer sync - what I mean by that is... when I open up my computer, ALL of my texts would show in iMessage... they ones I received and the ones I sent. Now, all I can see are the ones that come in. They don't show my responses. Same with my phone.

Any thought how to get this fixed?

I haven't done anything different with my computer or iPhone (except the last update).
