Switch to English UK High Sierra
High Sierra is displaying US spelling in the interface. I have set Language & Region to English (UK), but the OS still uses US spelling… Is there a new setting in HS to correct this?

macOS High Sierra (10.13.3)
System Preferences > Keyboard > Input Sources. Click the plus sign and add "British". Drag it to the top of the list.
Welcome. It dawned on me you might have meant globally and I'm not sure if that's possible. There is a member here I'm sure would know. Hopefully he sees your post.
Did you restart the Mac after you changed the System Preferences > Language & Region to English (UK)?
The changes will only be applied after you restart the system or log off and on again.
Can you reference that information? Do you have link? Seems a bit odd.
The Language Region is listed as English (U.K.) Primary. This has existed since… very early in Apple's history. However, the interface is showing 'Minimise' as you mention.

Which app is showing Window > Minimise (with an s) for you?
All are, including Finder
No yet, I'm just trying to get the actual OS in the right language first!
Spell check is showing correct spelling. The OS is not. Apple care recommended resetting the NVRAM. I have done this, but the OS is still 'ize', note 'ise' where it should be.
Sorry, I think that was autocorrect! They say 'ize'. The Input Text preference also says Captilalize.
Yes, it is the only application that is spelled correctly!
It's not overdue, it just needs to be put back! It used to exist. Even Windows can use en_GB...
This is how it is set, thanks. Currently awaiting a return call from Apple Support about it.
Good catch, Tom 😁 😊
