What is the Remote Disk listed under Devices on my Mac? selecting eject does not work to close it out. is it possible someone has hacked into my computer? How do I get this removed.

AirPort Extreme 802.11n Wi-Fi-OTHER, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

That is an option to use a different computer to read CDs or DVDs. If your computer doesn't have a DVD drive, you can put the DVD in the drive of a computer you're linked to and read it from there, remotely.


Hence, 'remote disc'.

I have a CD drive in my Laptop. I don't own a Remote Disc drive. So...any other suggestions? I'm also not able to click to eject. I've rebooted, and searched for any reason why that Remote Disc would be showing up on my Finder window under Devices.


Appreciate any additional assistance anyone can provide. I too am concerned that someone is remotely saving my information to their "remote" device. I have all security settings so that no one should get to my information, so why is this here?
