So did you update your new phone to latest IOS 11.3.1 without any of the same issues affecting the speakerphone being greyed out ?

Hi there,
My iphone 7plus has the same problem after updating to 11.3 last week.
I connected my phone to Bluetooth earphone once, and after that my phone cannot make any calls. The speaker option is grey and cannot hear any sound.
Music and videos are fine through the speaker.
Voice memo not working.(red record button grey out)
I can only make calls through Bluetooth earphone connected now.
Yes, the update destroyed the speakers or their function. I think they knew this would happen and want to drive people to newer phones. Next they will throttle the data down..
You have to go to the genius bar and they have to replace the phone.
Were you able to fix it? I am facing the same issue.
Correct. I also updated to 11.4 in that hope and it is not working for me.
iPhone microphone stopped working after updating.Any out there to help
I have exact same problem and wondering what apple has to offer to resolve the issue since its the new software issue that apple has rolled out. This disables the most important use of the phone.
go to the genius bar and they will replace your phone. The tech told me it was a very specific problem with a batch of phones and so they're just replacing them.
I have the exact same problem. I'm going to the Genius Bar tomorrow and they'd better give me a new phone. This is ridiculous
Apple replaced my phone. It’s a hardware issue with certain phones
Did you have to pay or Apple replaced it for free?
Apple replaced my phone for free
Dear LMphilbric,
Your phone converted under warrenty or out of warrenty they have replaced?
Hi
Check the mute switch on side of iPhone new volume buttons.
