iPhone speaker greyed out

I too now have this problem. I’m guessing they won’t fix it bc either way, they get our money. This is frustrating.

Mine just started acting up today no one can hear me, nor does my FaceTime work and my speaker is not an option nor voice talk for messaging ... what do I do?

same thing was told to me i have to buy the same phone for 349 but u feel like this is a technical issues. They just dont have enough complains to make it a free replacement.

who are you emailing so we can contact as well, this is a issue with most Iphone 7s becuase everyine is complaining about it.

I had to make a claim on my insurance and have the phone replaced. So far my new phone is working, let’s hope the next update doesn’t screw it up

I'm having the same problem with my iPhone 7. I went to an apple store and the sollution proposed was to buy a new iphone! But this is a software problem. Can anyone help me on this issue?

Excellent option, this is a hardware issue it happens through system checks updates cannot fix it, apple care+ is a great option for future purchases.

My friend's iPhone 7 had same problem. I plugged earphone, then call someone.

Speaker icon get active, then i touch it and it works.

Then i unplugged earphone then try again. The problem is gone.

Having same issue with iPhone 7 on ios12.2 Going to the store now as soon as the backing-up is done.
