What is Advanced Mac Cleaner and is it legitimate?

I got a notice for Advanced Mac Cleaner last night and it says that my Mac is flooded with viruses and things taht can be removed to help fix it. I was wondering whether or not Advanced Mac Cleaner was legitimate as it took me to an "apple" website to install it. I haven't noticed any problems with how my Mac runs, but this caught me off guard as I dont access any risky sites or use unprotected wireless servers
