Thanks for the suggestion. I do have DashlaneBut your solution only solves part of the problem. Removing Dashlane brings back my FB news feed but I still encounter the login problem.

I'm having the same exact problem. I hope there's a solution soon. I switched to Firefox but I'd rather use Safari.

No improvement. Logging in without bookmark or shortcut makes do difference. Pop up still appears.

Thanks but I've tried that several times myself and several times with the help of Apple Care Support on the phone and accessing my computer.

This issue has recently started to happen for me as well using safari. It does not happen if I use chrome.

Also tried removing login details from Keychain in case there was a login conflict with Safari or with Dashlane.

No improvement problem persists.

The files are there. I checked it before posting.

Thanks for your persistence in trying to fix this issue. Unfortunately this latest idea didn't work when I tried it. It sure is mind-boggling.

That makes sense now I recall having to update Java. Maybe that Java update is what is causing the problem?
