Settings search not showing results on IphoneX

It simply just stopped. I hate this phone just randomly some function will stop working.

I am aware of this:

Settings search not showing results

It is not the same question, and I don't like the solution (I already applied that solution the first time I installed the iphoneX from my backup). At that point - I accepted that, but I can't do it every 6 months.

What version of iOS do you have on the iPhone X? Your profile shows iOS 11.3, which is what I have on my iPhone X. If I open Settings and type iCloud, I get quite a number of returns. I'll edit this with screen shot in a moment. However, what troubleshooting have you tried? I don't believe that a reset of that type should be necessary.

At this point, user troubleshooting steps include restart, restore from backup, restore to factory; testing after each step. If you do not wish to troubleshoot, that is your decision, but it seems you may have an issue with the iOS, unless as the last poster has indicated, you may not have Search turned on in Siri & Search in Settings for the Settings app.

Tried restart before posting, didn’t help.

Tried Siri on off before posting didn’t help.

Tried siri for messages after the reply here, didn’t help.

I guess factory reset will work. I also guess Settings reset will work (It worked last time). However this is not why I bought the phone, to reset settings every 2months. I bought it to work and no to think about it. I can’t imagine how untested software we are getting nowdays straight to our devices. This is also a bit inspired from the stupid Mail client for Mac these days, but nevermind...

I'm sorry you feel that way. I'm just trying to give you options, but then, you never mentioned that you did anything before. Since I've not seen a plethora of other reports of this type of behavior so the incident seems to be something with your device. It sounds to me that you may have some corrupt data on your device if you keep having the same issue after a reset. However, a restore to factory will place a new copy of the iOS on the device and allow you to test it without additional data. No one I know with an iPhone X has experienced this type of problem, and I know several. How you decide to proceed is up to you, but complaining about it here is not going to get the problem fixed.

In my original comment I posted a link, and I said that this (reset settings) what is suggested there I don’t want to try. I know, it will not solve my problem if I am just pointing out stupidity of Apple sw developers, but if anyone have better solution than reinstall an OS I am ready to try. Reinstalling OS seems like a hammer for a bug.
