Updated to 10.13.5, lost Bluetooth
I updated to 10.13.5, lost Bluetooth. I "reset" the module, trashed the BT preferences, nothing worked. Help?

I think that makes it pretty clear. Your Mac has a hardware issue and you should make an Apple store appointment.
Hardware issue right after this update (10.13.5)? Which is unavailable now at AppStore. Diagnostic founds no problem with hardware.
Software updates don't cause hardware problems. If that was the case, then reverting to the previous version would have resolved the issue.
Make a genius bar appointment to have your machine evaluated.
Can you test your mouse with another machine? If not there's always the option of a mail in repair.
If it will make you feel better I'll take it to work and try it on my laptop there. I know it's not a hardware issue. Worked fine up to the minute I installed the update.

After some days absence 10.13.5 has appeared again as an available update in the App store. Should one give it another go?

Reinstalled 10.13.5 (having reverted to 10.13.4). Still no Bluetooth. Symptoms as above.
Exact same problem after 10.13.5 update.
Tried all the resets you can do, reinstall, deleting preferences files, restarts, shutdowns etc etc.
