Aren't newer OS suppose to be faster, more stable, less buggy than old OS?

If you have a computer that should Install Mojave, but will not, you could do the community a HUGE service:

When the Installer fails, do not quit yet. Look around for the command to display the Installer LOG file, open its window, and scroll to the last command in it. Then transcribe the last few error messages at the very end, that state why it failed to Install, and post them.
