Finder not opening icons in High Sierra 10.13.5 after software install and restart

Here's the results below. I should note that while I was running it the the desktop icons and preview icons in the tray had not loaded as is my problem, then half way through running it they did so I'm not sure it that will skew the results. Also, the two files it claims are adware don't exist and I run a paid for subscriptions to the latest Bitdefender which has caught many little bits of malware so I find it hard to believe it got past it, that said I'll email a screen shot of the two files to them that it identified to get their take.

So aside from correcting my use of terminology you can't provide any proof that Bitdefender "provides zero protection" as you claimed. I'll be keeping that award-winning software till someone can provide actual proof it does nothing.

On a sidetone I did uninstall CleanMyMac and it did seem to fix the problem for now, so thank you for that tip. In the future though, maybe keep your opinions on programs to things you can actually provide proof of, just some advice for you for how interactions work IRL. Ignorance is a choice now a days, if you're going to make a claim, the burden of proof is upon you.

I've read that before and it doesn't answer my question to you of why you think Bitdefender "provides zero protection". Its a 5 paragraph rant about the anti-virus industry being a scam that provides no proof it is a scam on Macs other than proliferation of the wrongly held belief that Macs are not vulnerable to viruses and malware which we all know is not correct since we have even last year seen Mac's infected with Wannacry and KeyRanger, both ransomware, the second targeted at Macs specifically.

The rest of the post is just a "how to" for people that have never used the internet including gems such as "Don't pirate software" and "Don't give your password to popups". Though mac's gatekeeper is great for the normal user, even EtreCheck is picked up by is as an untrusted program so if I followed only what gatkeeper wanted me to install then I wouldn't even have been able to provide you with the sys report you requested. None the less, getting back to the original problem could you provide some proof that Bitdefender does nothing as you claim or that it is the cause of my icons not loading?

I'm ok with uninstalling Clean My Mac because I can use Disk Diag or something similar and I'm ok with doing a clean install of High Sierra as well but the version of Bitdefender that I have also has a software firewall for ransomware in it, and is rated as the best anti-virus/anti-malware program in the world by many publications. What's your reason / background for saying that it provides zero protection?
