How turn off automatic misspelling of tags

With Photos when I type a tag starting with upper case in the info box of a photo, it's often automatically changed to lower case. Or the other way, lower case is automatically changed to upper case. This is very annoying. I type it correct, then Photos automatically misspells it and I need to spent a lot of editing to get it correct again. How can I turn off this very stupid "smart" feature?

Do you meant, Photos is changing the spelling of keywords as you enter them? Or which kind of tags are you referring to?

When I enter a keyword, I can see lower case letters changed to upper case letters, if there is already a keyword defined with the different case of the letters. If the list of known keywords contains a keyword with the wrong spelling. delete it using the Keyword Manager.

Then Photos should no longer present the incorrectly typed keyword, when you are typing.

You can also disable the spell checker from the menu "Edit > Spelling and Grammar > Correct spelling automatically". To be able to use these commands you need to be writing into a textfield, when you open the menu.

Same version here, but the primary language is set to English (UK) on my Mac.

I'll check, if the spell checker is giving different results, when I try with Photos set to a dutch user interface.

No, the language is making no difference. It is my set of keywords. After typing "Pe", the first keyword found is "Person", and so the case does not change.

I remember, I changed all keywords to use the same case of the first letter a few years ago, because I had been annoyed by the problem with the capitalisation.

Yes, that's what I mean. I know how to delete misspelled words. An example, I already have a keyword percussion, correct spelled with lower case. I don't want to delete that keyword. Now I want to add Pendrecht to a photo, starting with upper case. So I start typing P (uppercase) e (lower case) - now Photos changes the upper case P to lower case because it apparently but wrongly expects I want percussion. And it doesn't change it back to upper case when I continue typing, so I end up with pendrecht. If it's not the first keyword, then it's possible although tedious to edit the p back to P. But if it's the first keyword on that photo, then I have to edit it with the Keyword manager to correct it, for directly editing just deletes the first character. Sigh.

I only want that if I type upper case, that it always will be upper case. And if I type lower case, that it always will be lower case. Why is that not possible? In the end I succeed to get what I want, that's not the problem, but it requires much extra editing. 😟

Oh, and I already have Correct spelling automatically off. So that doesn't do the trick.
